Default Vortech/EMS Tuned and Dynoed

First I have to say that I was VERY impressed by Todd and Dave over at 2NRWerks here in Tampa. They did a very good job on the car. Other than the increase in power, the car runs and drives like stock. No sputtering at idle or any of the other issues I've been reading about the EMS installs. They get two .

Now on to the good part. The car dynoed out nicely. Dave said he could have easily got more out of it by taking out some more timing, but I was happy with 320whp and really liked the way the car felt, so I didn't see a need to push more. Maybe later when I get bored we'll see how far we can take it. Here are the plots.

The first pull was after he had originally set up the ems. There where a few pulls in between..280whp..298whp..the car just kept making power. I'm really happy with the torque curve as well. Nice and linier after VTEC. And the AF looks like he drew the thing with a ruler. Mods are in sig.

Your setup is very close to the one that I'm looking to run.
Would you be willing to share your map with a fellow S2KI'er?

I can probably hook you up, but let me ask my tuner if he minds first. That's his work and I don't feel right just handing it out if he's not cool with it.

No problem. I'd still need to get my car tuned anyway but your map would get me pretty close.

Very nice #'s! You definitely should be able to squeeze some more power but its better safe than sorry.

Damn it looks like other than the charger itself we have the same setup. Any idea what kinda numbers you're running? Also are you making 9psi? It looks like I'm only hitting 8, but I figure that's due to the aftercooler pressure loss.

Nice numbers....

I recommend ditching the Vortech fmu and get AEM FPR...just my .02 cents.

If you decide to get a header next, let us know what kind of gains you get. It will be interesting to see how much HP a header will gain in addition with a blower.

Very nice graph, especially the torque curve
A/F looks really good too - 12.5 slowly tapering down to 12.0

hey brian, this is dave (i tuned your car ). hope the car is running good and the way you expect it man. let me know if u ever need anything adjusted.

also the A/F ratio on that chart is leaner than what it actually was according to the UEGO(which i trust more than the dyno's). the leanest it ever saw according to the UEGO(WOT) was 12.0:1 at about 5k rpm and it slowly tapered off to about 11.2 at redline. i definitely coulda gotten more power out of it if i had been more aggressive with the tune but i dont think its worth risking the motor on a daily driven car. and it also wasnt hitting a full 9psi. the most it saw was about 8.3psi according to the datalogs.
also pulling timing out woulda have casued it to lose power, put more timing into to it would have caused it to gain more power(to a certain extent). goodluck with it
