Default SOT positive displacement charger install progress

this will show my progress through the install and tune. this is the stage one tuning positive displacement supercharger setup exclusively distributed by static X motorsports. robert i beleive owns the joint, and mark works with them. to date my experiences with them has been stellar. so helpful, so informative, and very patient with all my questsions. i highly reccomend them based on my experiences to date: ok on to the stuff.

first, i wanted to show everyone the few parts that came in so far!

rc 650 injectors

aeromotive fpr

walbro pump 255ghp model 342

this is gonna be fun!

good news, after 26 rage against the machine songs, the F'N walbro pump is in. i have learned a few things doing a pump swap on a s2k.

1. i dont thikn i will ever do this for a friend
2. that was the most awkward position i have ever been in.
3. i used my chin as a brace when leaning in from behind the car
4. did i mention that was awkward?
5. over all the time involved is only about 1.5 to 2 hours, but the most annoying time evar!

thankfully, the bad boy works. post impressions, well its a pump, and its pumping, so i am happy it makes a bit of a whine, but every walbro i have ever had did, so whatever.

next up is the injectors, fpr, and hondata intake mani gasket

pretty soon i will be recieving the intercooler setup. well the heat exchanger, fan, pump, and core. i am very looking forward to this

ps, if you want a write up of a pump replacement, buy a honda manual, its the bible you need to work on your ride

My technique was stradling the center console... seats removed, of course. Head wedged between soft top and windscreen, shoulders in rear tray area. Not very comfortable. However, I managed to get mine in, swapped, and back together with only about 15 minutes in funky positions... but it took 15 minutes of swearing to get the ####in' rear tray out completely!

Bunch'o'screws, unplug, lift straight out, tilt toward the end of clear the float. Reverse going back in.

i was thinking that too, im 5"10 190 i couldnt fit my arms and knoggin between the windscreen and vert top. damn i must be fatter then i thought

the smaller you are, the easier this job is. unless of course the top is gone, then WAY EASIER. i took my time, and the 2 hours was start to finish with tools cleaned and back in the chest and me on the couch drinking a beer

so i have been a bit lazy the last few days, i wanted to give small update. i modified my fuel and timing map. had to rescale it to show boost. then modified it again for the bigger injectors. once i get them in, gonna fine tune part throttle before boost.

in the next few weeks i will get the heat exchanger on, and then the blower installed. slow and steady
