HKS 75mm Single exhaust
I purchased at T1R 70RT from a member here earlier this year. It's a fantastic exhaust for the track, but just impossible for a DD or out on casual cruises, due to the high levels of drone. With much encouragement from the wife, I started looking for a more tame exhaust for street use, and finally decided on the HKS 75mm single. I wanted to stay with a single for ease of installation since I intend to keep the T1R for track days, and I also wanted to keep my GTMotoring AP1 CF cap. I also like the more baritone sound of the HKS compared to the boomy bass of some other singles out there.
I called Evasive only to find out that these were out of stock. Not wanting to wait for the next shipment, I changed my mind and went with the dual. A couple hours later, I got a call saying that the shipment of singles had just showed up, and I was able to get my hands on a single after all. Shipped late on Monday, arrived at my door on Thursday. Big props to Evasive for the great customer service and pricing.
After seeing the other threads about the HKS single, I was a little concerned about build/weld quality. In particular, I recall a pretty gnarly looking weld on a hanger on one of the other units. Upon opening mine, I was pleased to see that all the welds are clean and solid in appearance. Sure, they didn't lay down dimes on this like you might expect on some other brands, but as long as it doesn't leak or rust down the road, I couldn't care less. As for the rest of the quality, the canisters are dent and scratch-free. Overall I am quite pleased with this unit coming out of the box.
Enough jabber - on to the pics...

Who needs plate frames when you can get Super Street mag and calendar from 2009!

The one weld that you can see from the rear is quite nice...

All unpacked!

The car goes up on stands tomorrow for install, using a 63mm Berk TP between the HKS and stock header. I'll report back with initial impressions and pics once comlete.

Very nice sir. Just put money down to order mine from MVP. I am guessing that I am getting mine though for about $150 cheaper than you did from Evasive... BUT I am having to wait on mine, because they are on national backorder.
Tracking this topic. My HKS is going to replace an Invidia N1, so I out to get A LOT quieter.

^^ that is a good price!
I forgot to mention another reason I wanted to go with a single: weight. The HKS comes in at 26.5 lbs.
My air compressor is downstairs charging up as I type.
