woke up this morning to e-brake failure
so I got up this morning. it was 25 degrees so I decided to warm my car up before I left for work. started it up went inside to get my stuff for work and came back out 5 minutes later. walking up my driveway I hear a trashcan fall over and think to myself what an idiot damn neighbor hit his trashcan. then I look and my car is not in front of my house...
I walk 200 feet down the streen to my car on top of the sewer drain. e-break still pulled all of the way up.
all in all there was light damage, bumper scratched up from he bushes, stratched some paint off the undercarage but that was it.
has this happened to anyone else? my car is a 2001 and is completely stock.

Have it engaged in gear.
For cold cold cold nights:
1.) stall it in first or reverse
2.) ebrake up.
3.) double check ebrake. :-)
4.) wheel chocks for added security. ($5 all wallmart for a pair, stickem in the trunk)
Gota do what you gota do.

my road has maybe a 2 to 3 degree incline. also the e brake worked fine afterwards. once I got the car off the sewer top I had 5 people try to push the car with the e brake on andit wouldn't budge both forward or back. also when I park the car it is in gear but when its warming up I just had the ebrake pulled.
I am going to honda tomorrow hopefully everything is ok. I don't know

Same thing happened to me two years ago...and this is what i came out to...So I feel you! Although mine had 8500 bucks in damage when this happened.....Was at a buddies game watching a foot ball game, his driveway is way out in the country and it is steep but i pulled up to the top where it leveled out. Yanked the ebrake and went inside. Half way through the game i hear a boom and we look outside to see my car gone....Ran down the driveway and saw my precious s2000 on its side in a 10ft ravine on the bottom of my buddies land....let me tell you my heart dropped!

What I find amazing is that it will not move at all (just e-brake, not in gear)... for 1 -minute (about how long I was outside with the car after I got out)... and then after about 1 hour later it decided to roll down the hill.. What changed? Why would it *suddenly* start to roll!
Needless to say, I always make sure it is in gear AND the e-brake is up when parked
... Hasn't rolled since...

it's hard to have it in 1st gear when trying to warm it up.
SSM that shot reminds me of Ferris Buellers day off. but not as bad tho.
thats why your supposed to turn the wheels when parked on a hill.
or maybe someone came along and jumped in. those lil gremlins get you every time. ok i'm done.
