Default MM2 - Thoughts & Thanks

all,

Just got back to my parents in Leicester after a long & eventful day.

I would like to express my thanks to all the participants at MM2 and to all the organizers who put a lot of time & effort into this.

So a hugh big from Rita & me.

It was nice to put names to faces once again & to catch up with old pals.

It was a big shame that the typical British weather spoilt the day

Maybe it might be worth considering bringing the event forward by 6-8 weeks. What does everyone think ??

Also, TBW, hope you are ok & that you get your baby fixed asap. Let us know how you get you.

Bharat & Rita

What happened to Marc? Did the wet weather get the better of him?

It does sound like there was some kind of bump - with the "Hope you're ok" comment

He lost his rear, spun 180 degrees & went into a fence.

Front spoiler has come off - I think that is cosmetic.

However, the rear right suspension is damaged (the rear wheel was at an odd angle)

Thankfully, no one was hurt - just some wounded pride.

His 'front end' was interesting to say the least

That's such a shame, and Marc's such an experienced S2k driver too.

At least he's ok

I have to admit that this is what puts me off going to the big meets and driving with lots of cars. I don't like to be under pressure to drive quicker than I am comfortable with.

Mark was at the front, quite a bit ahead of us, so he was effectively leading. He managed to become the leader, when our leaders (the 2 nuns who used to be Batman & Robin) took the wrong turning !

The driving style & etiquette was very good. No one was racing or taking silly risks or showing off (from what I could see).

We got a lot of from the locals.
