Default Kangarooing cured

I've been holding back to post this because I didn't believe it was true myself but I finally got in some traffic in the nice weather today and no kangarooing.

After messing about with the induction side to no avail the cure seems to have been the Spoon thermostat/fan switch/rad cap.

I'm really pleased, the car even seems to be pulling better. I suspect that the original thermostat was never opening properly but just enough to keep me on three bars on the display.

New filter, clean the induction piping and throttle body, fit a snorkle and tighten up the accelerator cable, works everytime.

Correctly adjusted throttle cable makes a world of difference.

Not if you've got Drive By Wire
You can't fit a snorkel or a filter

Agreed, that's what I have been doing for the last six years but a thermostat and switch isn't exactly what I would call expensive.

Did all that except the throttle cable because it didn't need it and no it didn't.

Another thing that has completely eliminated the kangaroo effect on my S, are the NGK plugs No.8 that I have fitted recently. Also another thing that its been cured with this specific plugs is that the rpms while idle do not drop at all, just like they used to. By the way the gap is adjusted to 0.65 as per J's Racing suggestion and not to 1.0-1.1mm.

No more kangaroo. In my case the spaecific plugs cured the S.

Sounds like there are quite a few things you can do to attempt to cure the dreaded kangaroo then

My K&N FIPK II with extra airbox insulation has done the trick for me
