WOW you are getting a lot of help. The best thing is to contact your local Immigration office and they will give you the steps and places to go to get this solved.

dude, they have to go to their embassy to get their papers first. then seek an attorney to help them find the right forms to fill out for immigration and so on. They will need a family member to claim them for a permanent residence. that or get married. good luck with that!

Trust me I just went through this, its not going to be an overnight process. It took me and my wife 8 months and even that was considerably fast. As their friend I'm pretty sure you can not petition for them. If anything go to immigration and see if they can get their I-20 extended for a student visa. I believe that they have to show some kind of proof that the are attending university. I believe that only a spouse and a employer can petition for a person. As far as employer, they have to be in a position that is not easy filled by a citizen. So working at the local burger joint does not apply. The best information I could give you would be for your friends to talk to a lawyer. Be aware that many have been scammed by immigration lawyers because most illegal immigrants feel that they can not pursue them through the courts with out finding themselves shipped off and those lawyers know this so they scam them out of money.
