Default Sighted by a Yank!

I was in Austrailia for two days on business and last night, July 27th I saw a Berlina S2000 pass us just in front of the Sydney Harbor Bridge (Heading into the city.)

It had an aftermarket exhaust, and I can't be certian, but it looked like the Fujitsutobo. As I am checking out the exhaust, a SECOND Berlina S2000 passes by us on the right and is riding along side the first one for a while.

The second one was being driven by a brunette woman with her hair tied back. I never got a look at the driver of the first one.

Nice cars!

Not by American Standards.

It was a good trip, but we didn't have any time to do ANYTHING. Add in the time change and I was falling asleep at the table by 8:30pm.

I'd like to go back and visit for longer sometime.

Yeah, I just got back yesterday from 2 weeks in the US.

I saw quite a few S2ks on the road. The greatest thing was just seeing the huge number of convertibles as a percentage of all vehicles.

In DC, even though they were in the middle of a heat wave (believe me , it was hotter than Melbourne and more humid than Sydney, in the peak of summer) just about every convertible was still being driven top down. I know in those temps, most of us in Oz would definitely be top up.

In LA I rented an Eclipse convertible, nothing special but easy to drive.

My overall feelings were that the traffic on the freeways is crazy, and it's not helped by the massive number of on/off ramps and poor signage. Cars were just zigzagging everywhere, usually at least 10-15mph above the speedlimit of 65mph.

It's not the on/off ramps. That's just how we roll.

I particularly liked the 7 lane (each way) freeway in Los Angeles.
So how do Sydney winters compare to those in Illinois?
