Google ads advertise illegal Ponzi scams on S2ki
I couldn't help but notice that some of these new Google banner ads are for some pretty shadey enterprises.
The one full banner ad that I've noticed that really takes the cake is one for a site called 10perday.com. It's an autoclick ad site where they sucker you in by claiming to pay you for surfing web pages. But that's just to get you to sign up. After that, you have to pay to become a member, and you are encouraged to "invest" money into the system in order to get higher payouts. The claim is that you get paid 10% every day for 14 days of you put enough of your own money in. The (mathematically challanged) "140%" return in 14 days that they claim is obviously unsustainable unless other, new "investors" get suckered in to their pyramid scheme.
From their home page:
The US Securities and Exchange Commision actually just busted an identical internet Ponzi scam earlier this week. Duped "investors" lost tens of millions of dollars:

In fact at least one of our own members got caught in that very scam:

Why is S2ki.com accepting ad revenue from these illegal ventures?
Troubling.

Andrew, while I understand what you're saying, to imply that S2KI accepts ad revenue from illegal ventures is disingenuous at best. S2KI accepts ad revenue from Google; Google in turn accepts ad revenue from the entities whose advertisements they display. There is no direct link between S2KI and any of the advertisers that appear in the Google sponsored advertising.
I believe that we do have the option of selecting ads not to display, but I'm not sure of the mechanism to do so. Your best bet for a rapid answer would be to ping Erik (cthree) directly regarding your concerns and see if he can eliminate those ads from being displayed on this site. Of course this doesn't mean that someone else won't advertise the same thing next week and we start all over again.

As you stated, they are Google.com Ads. You should point this out to Google.com not S2ki.com. Google generates the content in those ads. S2ki.com generates revenue from Google for click thoughs. S2ki.com has no control over the content of the Google ads. S2ki.com also is not paid directly by the advertises. Google is and they in turn pay S2ki.com to display the ads.
So please address this issue with Google.com. But thanks for the warning.

I can block ads from certain websites. If you see something that doesn't look legit click the ad and paste the address into a post in this forum I will add the site to the exclusion list. I've seen a few of these type of ad come up and I block them as I see them.
I'm not very happy about seeing these ads become more frequent. I'm sure Google will crack down on them as my experience in dealing with them has been good. I'm sure this is a temporary problem.

What's really amusing/troubling is that the text found in this very thread has apparently prompted Google Ads to display even more ads for questionable money-making/investment schemes in it.
Right now, below my last post, I see 2 ads for:
www.weeklycashincome.com
WMPcoach.com/forever_young
I checked out both home pages and they certainly sound suspicious enough, although I do not have enough information to say that either are definitely scams at this time...

What should trouble you is that Google isn't getting paid for these ads. As an investor you should go to Google.com and check out how their AdWords system works. You sign up, put out a credit card number and post your ads. At the end of each month they tag your card for the amount you've spent (which in the case of these schemes is probably tens if not hundreds of thousands). Take bets on how many of those bills actually get paid.
