Wink So Calif girl here.

Hello Colorado

I'm staying at my sister's in Falcon, outside of Colorado Springs now, and heading back home tomorrow. I spent Tuesday night in Cortez, Wednesday night in Durago, Thursday night, Friday night and tonight in Falcon, and will be back in Cortez on Sunday night.

This is the third time I've driven my S2000 here. You guys definitely have the prettiest state in the summer. I just love the 550 from Durango to Ouray. I also like the 50 from Montrose to Canon City.

Tomorrow I'll be going back west on the 160 from Walsenburg to Cortez. I haven't done that road before. If I get back to Cortez early enough, I think I'll have to try the 145 up to Telluride. I hear that's another awesome road.

Anyway, just saying If you see me wave. Here's my license plate:

If you want me to post my Colorado photos here when I get home post that.

I made it to Durango before I saw another S. On Wedenesday, another S2ki Vintage person, S1997, or Jim, who's from Texas but has a log home near Ignacio, met me at my Durango hotel, and we drove our Ss up to Silverton together, before he turned back and I went on. We saw another Berlina S with his top up on the way. Then I saw two more S2000s in Colorado Springs on Friday. I hope to see more.

I would definitely like to see some pictures of your trip!!

I'm glad you like our state. We have a ton beautiful roads here, and takes ton of time to see them all. Let us know when you are going to be back in this direction, we'll try to get a drive or a dinner together.

Hope you make it home ok.

We almost crossed paths on Wednsday.
My wife and I were going from Fruita to Black Canyon and through Gunnison to Denver.
We covered 850miles in state, and other than alot of rain, it was great.
P.S. If you're ever in the Grand Junction area, you have to check out the Colorado National Monument. It's a great drive with great views.

I'm sorry but I don't know where we were in Colorado Springs. The white S I saw had a white haired man driving with a woman next to him, and the top was down. We were on our way back to Falcon after going to the movies (Superman) at Tinseltown. It was around 5:45 PM, I think. BTW, Superman was good.

I'll post them here when I get home. I'm in Flagstaff now and will be home tomorrow night.

I go back east for S2000 Vintage Owners (only means over 40 years old) meets often, and of all the places I've seen, Colorado is by far the prettiest.

This was a last minute trip for me so I didn't post sooner. I wasn't sure I was going to make it until Monday night, when I got new front tires put on.

Hey, I'm curious. Do you guys go through windshields here? When I was on 550 north, before Montrose, two dump trucks went by in the opposite direction and I ended up with a big rock in the windshield. The circular cracks are bigger than a golf ball. I'll be getting a new windshield when I get home. At least the cracks are on the upper passenger side, so they don't bother my view.

My sister's friend says hail cracks windshields a lot of times.

Got a nasty crack on the passenger side in Breckenridge.
Sounds like the same spot. Not bad when your driving, but a real pain as a passenger.
