Thumbs up I got 2 cupholders and a clock - in my 2002!

Most of you knew I was selling the S2000 for a M3, but only a few knew I was heading up to the Manheim Exotic Sale in PA on August 26th. It was an awesome auction - over 6,000 high line and exotic cars were there! The magnitude of cars made Acuras (not NSX's ) and Lexus's look like Toyota Corollas and Dodge Neons. There was car-eye-candy as far as you could see.

All that aside, I was there for a BMW M3. My hopes were for a 2002 with some miles and a little beaten - I wanted something other dealers didn't want, so I could steal it and fix her up myself. I picked out 3 M3's and my wholesaler picked out one he was going to buy no matter what. My first choice happened to be running the same time the one my wholesaler wanted was, but 5 lanes apart from one another. Because we were there on my company's pay and time we decided it would be best to work first, then go for personal on the run. It just so happened the car we were after for the company had no buyers for it - they were all on the car I wanted (Black/Red SMG fully loaded) bidding each other up to high heaven. We ended up stealing the cleanest M3 of almost all time!

To make a long story short - we missed the opportunity on the car I wanted, but it went for quite a bit more than I wanted to spend anyway......but we walked away with a car that I couldn't ask for more perfection out of.........and.........she is going to be mine

She is a 2002 BMW M3 in Imola Red with straight shift 6 Spd, Navigation, Harmon Kardon sound, 6 Disc Changer, 18" Gunmetal M Wheels......etc.....etc.....

I'm stoked. On the one hand I'm very sad to see the S2000 go , but am very happy with this turnout. As some of you know, my girlfriend/roommate is moving out soon (no bad/hurt feelings - we both know we're not moving any further so what's the point) and I'm going to need something to:
How about a few more really bad pictures (I need to do something in the daytime) before I hop on the serious foot:

For more info on what is happening with the M, tune in here:

On a more serious note. The S2000 will be gone this coming week. There is a very serious buyer driving from Michigan as I type this, but even if that falls through I have a trade figure I can live with......the S is gone. That brings us to a little issue: I'm still a Community Organizer for the Mid-A. A few people have told me they don't care what I drive, but they do want me to continue on in this role.....until a new person is ready to step into the role. I don't have a problem with this, but I can understand how a few might. If this is an issue, then Mid-A - you're going to need to get to work on figuring out what you want to do. I'm still going to be on S2Ki, and I'm still going to be a moderator, and I can stay a CO as long as you all want me to.

I just spent several hours working out a formula for you. After plugging in the numbers, this is what I've come up with:

You pretty much have 166.5hp per cupholder.

Congrat Alex, hit me up for any M3 meets. I got a 04 Silver SMG Convertible. But I never pay any attention to the m3 forums. Still lurk on this forum. I don't even know where to start for mods. LOL. You will have to teach me on things to keep up on this car.

I did not know that Jeff - very cool

I've been on M3forums.com quite a bit lately reading up. Unfortunately the local stuff is very slow and we're part of the South East region (VA to Florida). Yeah, I'll let you know if something comes up. I'm probably going to be doing my socializing here and mod shopping there.

Here's some help on the mods:

    1. Eibach groundcontrol kit - people like these better than most coilovers
    2. iForged or HRE wheels - not having the issues the Japanese cars have had - big lips ......of course, you can get Volks Jeff - if you can work something out in that area let me know
    3. AC Shcnitzer (spelling?) seems to be the mainstay exhaust, it is also the least expensive, but the more I read I'm leaning toward GruppeM
    4. Haven't figured out which intake/supercharger is right yet. I'm afraid of the SC on the M3 after walking into our BMW shop yesterday and seeing that it froze up, then hearing "this isn't the first time we've seen this happen".
    5. Chip - haven't gotten into that either

    And that's just for starters
