Default My poor baby... Now with pictures :(

So someone backed into my S's back left side (near the gas cap) in a church parking lot today. It seems like sunny Sundays are real bad days to be driving my S.

I got her insurance info - it was a big white truck - the dent's at least 3-5 inches deep. I'm just glad the gas tank is not leaking...

I'm sure her insurance company will take the lowest bidder - but in case I can choose, any recommendations for a body shop near Silver Spring?

Pics I just took in my garage...

She stuck around to give me the info - she sure would've gone to hell otherwise - I would've taken her there myself

That panel is welded in/on. If they have to replace it, they have to detach the softtop. If that's the case, be sure to take a body shop rep(preferably the mgr) on a ride with the top up to listen for wind noise. Do the same afterwards.

Since that panel has more time and effort than a front fender, they may just try to repair the rear quarter panel.

You can have any shop you want do the repairs. That is your right. Another thing, get an estimate from the body shop/insurance company, then provide all your own parts. You will save some money getting the parts from Jeff/Joe at Hardtopguy.com.

Sorry about you having my luck.

Also, insist that the paint be blended to all adjacent panels. In this case, that'd include the trunk, rear bumper, driver's door and hardtop if you have one.

:ad: Man, I hate that I know this stuff!

you can always chose as far as insurance claims go.

from what i understand is, if she hit you, you can chose what body shop no matter what the cost.

and yes, i can vouch for D&V autobody in chantilly. Kevin there is a good guy, give him a call, "Ya" told you to call.

many guys from evolution have taken their cars there.

man. you do have bad luck on sundays...

well two reasons for you that i can think of...
1. you brought the ministers daughter down to the pool party in va beach and you let her drink alcohol... ... you're definently damned for that..
2. i'm assuming you go to a korean church.. and you know korean ladies can't drive, and it really doesn't help that it was a big truck...
