Thumbs down Jacksonville Area Meet 11/6/04

OK, it's been a long while since we had a meet in the Jacksonville area (June '03)! It's time we had another! So Saturday, November 6th, 2004 we're going to set up a get together for some eating, driving, and well... getting together! Preliminary plans are for us all to meet at a restaurant towards the beaches, then a drive to the World Golf Village where people can hop on 95 to head their separate ways or hang out at Caddy Shack's for some drinks and further hanging out. Sound good? Got some great ideas you'd like to see included? Post 'em here!

Bryan just called me and here are some real quick thoughts to consider for this meeting. These are only thoughts and NOT final plans. As always majority rules. First thing bring your FRS radios if you have them. They always make the drives more fun and frankly safer.

12:00 (noon) Hooters in Jacksonville Beach (@A1A/JTB) for lunch, etc.

2:00 head out on a drive through Ponte Vedra/St. Augustine area (A1A, 210, etc.)

4:00 or so - meet at CaddyShack restaurant (like we used to do) at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine for more socializing, drinks, look at cars, etc.

Sandy and I will work on the drive route with Bryan. We'll probably have maps to pass out at Hooters.

How does that sound? Again, just my 2 cents based on Bryan's plan. This is his deal so contact him or post here about specifics. He is Da' Man.

Thanks, Shay you just saved me a lot of typing! I've talked to some other folks in nearby areas (Orlando, Daytona, etc.) and they are interested in joining us. I'm not asking for a role call yet, but let's try to get a decent turn-out for this one so that maybe we can get motivated to have meets like this more often!

If I don't have to be in Georgia that weekend I may try to make it over. Haven't seen some of you guys (Shay) in quite some time.

I was hoping that it would be this wkend, but with the FL/GA game I could see why next wkend would be a better choice. Oh well, start the new job Mon, so I'll probably have to catch the next meet
