Looks pretty good, overall. About as nice as a RAV4 on the outside, I guess. It's still an SUV, but definitely more attractive than the current model.

I have to give it a

That rear quarter window is awful and I dont like the front grill. I am sure it will still be a good value but I like the styling of the current one 100 times better.

Although for giggles I looked at a Saturn Vue yesterday. I am still planning to get an Outback for gg and boat towing duties, but the Vue was a much cheaper alternative and a very good value with the honda engine. I just wish it was much better looking.

They better be making changes before final production. That thing is fugly. My mom has the 2nd gen CR-V (current model) and it looks pretty good.

Maybe honda got too fancy with those curves? Whats with the front bumper sticking out?

I'm "feeling it" but all the WRONG feelings, I'm afraid. That side rear window/pillar treatment .......................................... EWWWWWWW!

That rear quarter looks very Volvo.
THAT'S where I've seen it. Good eye and good memory. On an OLD Volvo, that was a distinguishing "characteristic". On a new Honda, it's just out of place. I think this is a step in the wrong direction for Honda styling.

Perhaps you'll find it a little better looking when better shots are taken.

Personally, I think it's a lot fresher than the current plain-Jane, vanilla style. I've always hated the schoolbus steering wheel on the current one, too.

Nah - I'd much rather an Odyssey or a wagon of some sort (Honda - please bring the Stream over!), but I'm really interested to see Honda's answer to the RAV4. The RAV4 has pretty much been universally acclaimed as THE small SUV to have, so I want to see if the CR-V bests it.

I thought this one was still going to have a four and have little to no towing capacity. Hard to best a Rav four with 265hp and a publication timed 60 in 6.2 seconds. Whatever Honda comes out with will sell well to a loyal following and meet the needs of a targeted market, but I don't think it will be seen by most (at least by me) as better than the Rav if power and hauling are criterea.

For many buyers, a little utility and good milage are what they are looking for and it will do just fine, but if you have something to pull, the aforemention ugly VUE would be better, and thats gets honda's 250 hp 6. Does anybody know if that is the same six in the MDX? They are the same size but the MDX quotes about an extra 6 hp.
