S2000 on steroids

This is a "see what we can do" vehicle from an R&D company in Italy. It weighs just over 700 kg (call it 1550 lbs), does 0-62 mph in 2.8s, 0-100 mph in 5.9s, uses 4.9L of fuel per 100 km (nearly 48 mpg), and will pull 1.6g. It will also stop from nearly 100 mph in 3.1 seconds! It uses an S2000 engine putting out roughly 400 hp that's been supercharged and probably internally built as well.
Also has a fully programmable vehicle management system that allows you to manage ABS settings, rev limiter, valve timing, brake balance, traction and stability control, ride height, yaw, pitch, roll, and damping settings (plus a few other things) through a touch screen inside the car.
Also has a custom set of brakes with new style rotors that are very light. Look how small the calipers are, as well - not nearly as large as you'd expect for such a serious sports car.
Not the prettiest thing but talk about a fun track-day or weekend car!

I really like it. The problem, in my opinion, with all of the Caterhams and Ariel Atoms of the world is that they seem too "go cart" or "wannabe formula car" like. That in and of itself is not a bad thing but this really has more or a "car like" feel to it.
Think is, this is fully enclosed, has proper HVAC controls, navigation, leather, etc, etc, and still is a race car for the street.
The cost is probably prohibitive compared to a Caterham or Ariel but it is a fully engineered track car that appears to be quite capable on the street as well. Fully programmable suspension settings would allow you to soften it up for street driving and firm it up for the track, all at the touch of a few screen buttons.

Anything based on Colin Chapman's Super Seven is generally a winner. His basic formula implemented in the 1950's still goes un-rivaled today.
