I know there have been talks about where the meet of the midwest is going to take place. I know that Julie was in springfield this past weekend taking a look at what our options are. Considering the dates I believe are Oct 20-22, did not know if anyone knew of what the status was.

I did not get to post this yesterday as I'd hoped, so here is what we know to date.
Julie landed in Springfield to scope out the area. Unfortunatley, Springfield does not have as many things to do as we would have hoped. Therefore, I would like to recommend we do a repeat of the Bull Shoals run we did May 2005.
When: Oct 20-22
Where: Bull Shoals
Don't know yet if we are going to do the full three days or not. The plan is get down there on Saturday late afternoon and leave either Sunday or Monday.
Check your calendars and let me know if you will be attending. In the meantime, I'll scope out motels in the area and get a route layed out.
I need a confirmation from you by no later than Friday 10/5.

Yup.. Bull Shoals Lake. It's about the drive so we head down there through MArk Twain National Forrest. It's pretty much an all day drive on some excellent windies and twisties. We hope to meet up with some Oklahoma and KC S2K owners and make an evening of it. Then head back home on a similar, but different route.

Thanks for the info Mike! I am interested but will need final plans before commiting. I might be driving to the Smoky Mountains.
