I've never been to an ALMS race... Honda (Acura) just began participating in 2007. It's great racing with 4 different types of cars competing within their class and for overall win.

Acura won their very first race of the season last year then did respectably well the rest of the year. They had 3 cars last year and will have 4 this season.

ALMS is typically not super high security and snooty like F1 and IRL racing. You can get close to cars, drivers and more. I bet a bunch of S all together will draw a crowd too!

I think Grove has been - I'm sure he has some comments on this.

How come it's free and what's your first name?

OK, you are new and don't know the rule -- if you don't tell me your first name I will make one up for you

Sarah had 10 free tickets last summer through someone at work but they came up last minute and we already had plans so we were unable to cash in on the deal.

I'm interested. I don't have to work that Sat night, so I'll probably head down for the Fri qualifying rounds as well as the race on Sat.

You guys going to stay overnight in the area Fri/Sat nights, or just daytrip it?

I would love to see Friday also. Depends on money. The ticket is only another $20 for the day and getting the day off is not a problem for me BUT the hotel can be expensive.

I may plan to do 2 day trips for this... 2 hours is not that far to drive home. Or if enough people plan to go Friday and sleep over I may be bow to peer pressure and do that too
