Thumbs down A Sad Farewell to One of Our Own

This evening Bruce passed away after a long illness. It was a peaceful passing and Ira was by his side.

Details will follow as they are provided. There will be a celebration of his life in the days to come. Ira will provide us with all the information as it becomes available. Ira thought Bruce would appreciate an S2000 representation at the celebration of his life - again details will follow.

As many of you may know Ira was Bruce's longtime partner and Bruce wanted everyone to know that he and Ira were married this morning.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Ira and any of Bruce's family members.

***Bruce's Celebration of Life Details***

Lainey just spoke with Ira and the celebration will start at 12:00 PM at Rollstone Church in Fitchburg, MA. Ira would like us there around 10:45 so the cars can be arranged. If you are planning on attending please post up in Lainey's thread. Ira needs a car and person count.

*****Please Read******

I just spoke with Ira and he has requested that if anyone has any pics of Bruce - even if others are in the pics - he would like to have copies. He is preparing a slide show for the celebration of Bruce's life. We need to provide these pics as soon as possible!!

The best way for us to handle this, so as not to innundate Ira at this difficult time, is to PM either me or Lainey and we will give you our email address and we will forward the pics to Ira.

And just in case you were wondering - details for 9/27 are still forth coming. As soon as we here something we will let you know.

Thank you!

He truly was one of the good guys.

It was our pleasure to host the first S2000 meet he attended and he often told the story of how he met up with people for an S2000 meet with nary an S2000 at the meet spot. There was a Z, a Prelude and what (and I quote him here) "used to be an Infinity."

Still he was hooked and we reeled him in.

We will miss you my friend, .

To Ira we send our deepest condolences.

omg I can't believe that Bruce is gone!

I did not know him as well as most of you but the times I had with him
were enjoyable and he personified what being a member of this wonderful
group was like.

I retire tonight with a heavy heart and with my prayers and thoughts going
out to Ira and Bruce's family.

I for one will miss him.

Lynda please keep us informed about any services, I will do everything in
my power to be there to celebrate Bruce's life as he would have wanted and
I hope all of the N.E. S2000 community will do the same.

I've been concerned when I couldn't reach him lately.
He had a great outlook on life.

words fail me.
