Ok, Ok....I'm not sure how to change the title of this thread, but this is no longer a Proposed Run...it is an Official OV S2K Run.

However, it is a shine only event....pray for Sun.

Here is the agenda:

9:30 am
Meet at Hooter's on the River, in Newport, KY.
301 Riverboat Row, Newport, KY 41071 606-291-9191
http://hooters.know-where.com/hooters/cgi/...te=071&address=

9:30 - 9:45 am
Introductions, and Prepping for Run

9:45 am
Depart from Hooter's headed downriver...for the first part of the run, we will be following a route charted out by a motorcycle club. Their website is www.thegranary.com. We will be following the West - Ohio River Riding Route. At the point where that route takes a left onto Rt. 127, we will continue on downstream, and cross the river into Madison, IN. I haven't charted out the time, but we will be about ready for lunch.

12:30 - 2:00 pm
Eat lunch at one of the fine establishments in Madison.
www.visitmadison.org

2:00 pm
Depart from Madison, going upstream on Rt. 56. Cross at the Markland Dam and Locks, and proceed East on US 42, until we can pick up the charted run where we left off. Then, back to Hooters.

The entire trip should be approximately 170 miles.

Let me know what you all think. Suggestions are welcome.

I will begin a running tally of who is definately 'IN'. Please update the thread, if something comes up. I will use this list the day of the run, so we don't leave anyone behind.

Looking forward to meeting/seeing all of you on the 28th.

Scott

I'm pretty much always game for this type of stuff... the roads down here in KY are GREAT for spirited driving. Miles upon miles of curves... mm....

Slewpy, I wanted to go on your drive last year, but didn't have mine broken at the time. It's broken in now though. I put together a drive through Southern Indiana last month (Feb) and everyone had a good time. I would think that I can get several of those folks to come along with out too much effort. A couple of them live near Kentucky, anyway. We had our drive on a Saturday and that worked well.

We'll see what happens,
Bob

Slewpy,

I just sent a PM to about 80 people here in Indiana. We'll see if there is any interest in this drive from here in Indiana.

Later,
Bob

Indiana boy here. Hey...depending on how the event is scheduled, I may be in. I have finals around that time (I'M GRADUATING!!) so that takes priority, but I would really like to go if I can. Please let me know the details. Thanks.
