HID Conversion kit for High Beams?
If anyone is interested in getting a REAL Xenon HID conversion kit for the high beam H1 bulbs, or for any other vehicle, I can get a group buy setup for them. If we can get some interest, we should be able to get a really good price on these (around $500 or less).
These conversion kits are DOT approved, output 5,500K, Warranty, and comes with ballasts and everything needed to install the kit yourself.
IMAGING HOW BRIGHT HID HIGH AND LOW BEAMS AT THE SAME TIME WOULD BE!!!! If people are interested, I can install a kit on my S2K first, and get some pics online.

DOT approved conversion, *highly* doubt it... If the person trying to sell this to you is telling yuo this, it's bs. There's not way DOT would approve an H1 conversion kit, heck the bulbs are not even the same length, so so much much for beam correction.
Also, HID for high beam is not helpful beacuse of the warm up time required....

While the thought of having matching WHITE highbeams is cool, I cannot see why anyone would need HID's for their highbeams. Ok, the landing strip lights or stadium lighting idea may explain a few needs, but seriously, HUH???

Just gotta be wary of the brand if anyone does decide to purchase, you either buy BelOf - HiTechLighting, PIAA, Phillips, Borsch or those big companies anyhow. These days, there are quite alot coming out from Taiwan and they aren't good as properly made ones. Just thought I'll make a note since the pricing seems like it's coming from Taiwan. Japanese or German HID conversion kits costs way more than that.
All you guys stating that HID cannot be used for hi-beam should look into some of the luxury european car models. They do offer HID hi-beams.
They use mirrors to get around the time it takes the voltaic arc to establish. I believe the same elements are used for low and high beam. A redirection of the light path occurs when you flash or switch to hi-beams.
... and frankly I cannot see why anyone would not prefer HID for everything if available.
