I got a small card in the mail from American Honda that indicates that I have not completed the seat-belt recall. After seeing how the interior of the car had to be gutted out for this recall here, I decided not to do it until my seat belts lock completely.
Am I the only one that has not done the seat belt recall?

my thinking is that since it's the seatbelt, probably a good idea to have it done and not worry about the little plastic pieces... since your life is more important.

I have not done mine either. I just received my card as well.

I just don't like the idea of ripping my car apart especially when the seat belt is working just fine.

Eek!

I'd be more worried about ripping the interior of the car
apart with my body if the seat belt fails in a crash!

I agree with you 100% and I use my belt all the time. Everything I have read about this indicates that the senor will lock and prevents you from puting your belt on. Never read anything about sensor not working properly in case of an accident. If the latter is the case, I will do the recall right away.

That is my understanding as well.

I received my card two weeks ago. Like you, I'm going to wait for mine to lock.

I just received my second notice as well. Like others, I don't perceive this a problem in cases of accidents. Also, like others, I have no intention of doing anything about it until there is a problem. I hate going in for an oil change, much less this major operation.
