Default Powder Coated Calipers. How's this sound?

Hey guys I met a guy via ebay a couple weeks ago (sold 2 emergency eye wash stations to him) that specializes in Powder Coating. His shop is in Miami and works for OZ Racing. He has quoted me a price for $125 for all four calipers and I told him I might be able to generate some business with others from s2ki that might be interested. Here is the email he sent back to me earlier today. I figured with winter coming on, now would be the perfect time to have them done

I asked Frank in an email, Do you powder coat calipers

Franks reply

"yes im the powder coater of the stars in miami . i have referencencs from plenty of sprorts people & missy elliot , i work for OZ racing that is based in miami , i do thier wheels from south america, to us and canada. MOMO mini cooper BMW . you name it and i've done it. ill take real good care of the Honda guy especally you for hooking me up with them those capipers sets all 4 should be around 125... in any color you want. i have some cool colors like blue chrome ,chrome, all the reds to look like Brembro . i do a lot of vale covers for the Honda guys. if you want pics ill send them out. , but back to the eyewash what is the difference in shipping? if you help me here ill help you and your buddies on the powder"

What do you guys think? He seems like a pretty honest guy. At least his check did not bounce.

i'd love to see his work... is he cheaper than RJ... btw, can you be a bad powder coater? like how badly can you screw up powder coating?
I never get y if someone did something for the stars... we should be impressed and trust them! i've seen stars cars that were so F.cked up after some custom job that they had to have been redone!

I'm sure anyone can get a local shop to hook them up with powdercoating... even a quality job at that.

however, the job that Rick's does is great, paint matched with each S2000 color, and he also does the rebuilding of the calipers, which your local guy isn't factoring in to his price. That's ~$16 per corner for the rebuild kits and time to rebuild them.

Just a thought.

it's not that hard to powdercoat... all you need is the "powder," a DC current and a ground, and an old oven (the misses might not be too happy if you cook your calipers in the kitchen oven )

and i sure hope that guys doesn't powdercoat as bad as he speaks english...
