My car developed a metallic rattle at 4100rpm. The tab the mounts the bracket to the block cracked. The header has been on the car about a year, (7000miles) I have not called AKH about the problem. For all you Toda owners, check your header.

Do you think that is might be due to the extra vibration that the SC contributes to the engine????

If I'm not mistaken, the 1st gen Mugen headers suffered from the same thing.

I wouldn't go blaming the SC, It's only been on the car 3 months and 4000 miles. The bracket on the Toda is about 1/3 the thickness of the original. I would suspect material thickness being insufficient being the most likely cause.

I have contacted AKH, and e-mailed them pics. I'll post back if this is resolved.

I hope you don't take this the bad way, but is this the problem rather than detonation or are they 2 separate issues?

2 seperate issues, The detonation has stopped after re-mapping the Split second timing controller and adding an additional 3 degrees of timing retard.
