Cusco 6 point Rollcage with Harness Bar install..
Quick run down... (Sorry about the spelling)
Well I finally got my Cusco 6 point cage with harness bar installed yesterday. My concern the whole time was weather or not it would fit the US spec S2000. Well the good news is it will clear with some very minor altering.
Anyway first off I have to say the cage was very nicely made. Overall a very nice product. Getting to the install, several days before I received the cage I stripped the car down to bare metal (its up to you if you want to take the soft top out). That was a very good move and I recommend it. Once I got the cage out of the packaging I started to piece it together outside the car to get a good picture of how it should look. Another good thing is I got directions with pictures and everything (that helped). Anyway I disassembled it and started assembling it inside the car. Once I got everything lined up perfect and centered I started marking all the holes. Then I took the cage out and started drilling. That was the hardest part for me. Drilling all the holes. I didn't want to screw up. Anyway once all the holes were done I started to assemble the cage again in the car. Don't forget to use the flat steel pieces under the car. They come with the cage. Carpet went back on also. I also attached both harnesses to the harness bar. I did a couple of loops around the OEM bars. One thing I found out really quickly is aftermarket seats help a lot. OEM seats would probably not fit with the cage for my size. I am 6 ft 1 inch and have about a 34 inch waist. Having bucket seats was a real help.
The nice thing about the cage is both the soft top and hardtop will work. I had no problems what so ever with latching either top. The only concern I had was on the passenger side. I wanted maximum leg room on that side since my gf is 6 ft tall also. Only negative thing was that I had to move it 1 inch outward from the floor. Another words you have to move 1 inch from the side of the floor outward. Not really a big deal but to me I wanted it flush with the side but that will not work because you will not be able to close the door. What ever you do, make sure your doors are closed also before you start drilling. With the cage inside.
If anyone has any questions please go ahead and ask. I know I missed some things but wanted to give you guys some heads up.
I will get pictures up one of these days. LOL
