Default Honda Gillman @#$%ed up my car (part 2).

O.k., I took my car to Gillman so they can correct the problems they made the last time the car was there...

Here are some more items that are screwed up now...

1. Scratches on the rear plastic window

2. Two fine scratches on the driver side door

3. Someone "curbed" my front bumper lip

4. Scratches on the shift nob

6. Somehow someone unpluged a wire on my aftermarket alarm, and my driver side door no longer locks/unlocks with the remote

All the above damage for what? The problems are still present:

1. I still can't shift into 1st or reverse without applying unessary force when the engine is on

2. The "SRS" airbag light is still on, on the dash

This totally sucks. Now there has scratches/dents on the exterior:

Left rear fender, Right rear fender, front bumper, right front fender, chin spoiler, passenger door and soft top plastic window.

I am definately writing a formal complaint to Honda regional (where ever that is).

This is the second visit to Gillman. Should I risk further damage and allow them to work on my car further...or @#$% them and take the car elsewhere?

I am having the same problem everytime I get into my car. I run through each gear and can't seem to engage any of them the first time. I make a repeat attempt and usually find 3rd gear to work. Once I find third gear, I can usually get reverse to work. It is becoming more of a pain. I will ask Honda-Clear Lake to investigate while it's in the shop for a series of issues that need to be addressed. The problem seems to go away after the car/tranny is warmed up.

I talked to a friend of mine who is very mechanically inclined and he tells me that my shifting problem to 1st and reverse could be due to some air bubbles in my clutch hydrolic. Remedy: Bleed the clutch fluid...

Utah S2K,

Thanks for the link!

Phantom, that totally stinks dude!!!I definitely would not take it back there for service. However, did you take it up to the dealership GM just to see what he says? Of course, you can bluff him by saying that you are having your lawyer drafting a formal complaint to the regional office...Good luck bro!!!

did you have time to give it the test drive with the GM? or a bit rushed to get your baby back?

File a complaint, go to the GM at Gillman & show him what they have done, have them pay for a DIFFERENT Honda dealership to repair and complete work on your Stook......

1. I'd make sure you speak to someone at Honda Corporate and have them get on Gillman. You'd be surprised how "flexible" a dealer can be with some corporate pressure.

2. Threaten to file a complaint with the Better Business Beaureu.

3. Be sure to take pictures of all the damage as evidence as soon as possible. You never know where this may lead.
