Here in Japan, some details of minor changes for the next year S2000 start to prevail. The changes include the following:

Exterior

A glass rear window with defogger. Imagine cutting the bottom one-third of the plastic window off and cover it with the same soft-top material. This allows the soft-top to fold down even with having the glass on back. As a result, the rear window becomes much smaller.

Six new exterior colors and one interior/soft-top color (blue) are added as option. You can combine the exterior/interior colors in any way you want just like what NSX owners do. They claim that there will be 260 different color combinations!

Newly designed wheels. (They are similar to the standard five spoke wheels,
but with the new color of Champaign Gold)

The key-less entry system now has an answer back function.

Side markers have clear lenses.

Interior

The standard aluminum shift knob is wrapped with leather.
Aluminum dead pedal is standard.
Center console cover made from PCV leather.
Door net pockets are added.
There are places for tweeters on the door.

It seems that the changes are mainly cosmetic. I don

Actually, his english is VERY good for a Japanese (or Korean for that matter), of course, except for that "grass" thing (which was kinda funny, really )

Most Amerians just can't (and usually won't) imagine the difficulty of learning another language of different roots.
They complain about foreigners not being fluent in English when they are at home AND when they are abroad.... lucky guys...

Guys,.. it's totally different from learning Spanish or German. Give it a try sometime and you'll find out.

Okay, in all seriousness, I for one would like to know if we'll be able to get some of these additions in the future for older cars. More specifically, the dead pedal, the center console cover, and the shift knob in leather. I know others make aftermarket ones for these items, but I'm interested in seeing the Honda quality in these items to compare.

Thanks for the info! It sounds like they have been listening to the complaints on this board. Could you please tell me a little more about the answer-back function on the keyless entry.

I just went to that site, and saw the new blue with a blue top. I don't like the top in blue. The shift knob and the console cover looks sweet!!! The ALL blue interior, I mean dash, door panels, roll bar, carpet looks pretty nice.

Morangie, can you find out if we can post the pictures here?
