Default Cig. lighter/power outlet loose - help!

My power outlet for some reason is loose, can someone with a helm's manual post instructions for removing panels to gain access to this? I've tried once in the past, and those panels are tough to remove without instructions. Thanks.

Are you sure you want to do it? Take it to the dealer. Looking at the manual you will need to remove the Center Console, Rear Tray, Roll bar lower trim (both sides) in order to get to the rear console. That's a lot of work for a power adaptor.

I took mine to the dealer a couple of months ago and they fixed it. But it's loose again. I only use it for my cell phone car charger.

Hmmmmm. . .I had this same problem with my '00 and it was quite annoying. . .

I always feared the adapter would come out. . .I tried to use "extra" care when removing the power adapter. I also use mine for the cell phone. When I mentioned it to the Honda dealer, they said it was normal. . .of course!

I fixed mine recently and put some thread locker on the collar. So far it is holding.

To get to it, remove the panel behind the driver's seat (which is held on by the coat hook and a few clips) then remove the screws from the bottom of the center area (with the compartments. You can then reach in and tighten the PP screw collar. It tightens by hand. 10 minute job.

the same exact thing happend to me, but the second time it came out, it had stopped working. i just took it to the dealer, and they did it without arguing (that was a first).
