Default 14% increase with muffler and exhaust??

Anyone read this article.
http://www.autospeed.com/A_0911/page1.html
It comes from a well respected magazine. they were able to extract over 300HP with a few mods. 27% increase. The easiest and best bang for your buck one is the muffler exhaust change. They say they used magnaflow mufflers, but don't tell which exhaust they used. Does anyone know?? I would be interested in doing this to my car. Took RWHP from 151 to over 170...pretty easy to do of course.

I do not believe everything I read on the internet.. especially when it does not jive with any other reports.

This has been discussed before and judged bogus.

They have dyno graphs and this shop in aust. is a well known performance tuner shop??

This has been talked about before, repeatedly. It's bogus. Do a quick search if you want to see the whole debate.

Quick adder to save you a search: their "base" dyno was 152 wheel HP, and they ended up with 195 wheel HP. Look for recent dynos, 190-200 whp is the norm for a stock S2000. This is a big advertisement using some dyno trickery, nothing more.

WoW hold on there...our drive tran loses 14% (maybe 13 or 15) not 30 so that would put a car that dynoed at 195 at 222hp. Still below 240...how the hell did you get 280? Even using 30% loss I still only get a tad over 250!
