Good news everybody!

, my dad called me with the good news: He picked up the '98 550 Maranello today! It's Argento Nurburgring silver with just over 12k miles... It was a steal at $100k out the door! Thanks Ferrari of Houston! (It's actually a private sale but it was at the FoH lot.)
Anyway, I've explained the little storyline several times... here's a shortened version:
My dad and I went to the Houston Auto Show last weekend to look at the new E55 AMG, which was to be my dad's next car. Unfortunately, there was no E55 on display. My dad was pissed but it all turned out for the better. We spent most of our time at the Ferrari booth, drooling over the 575M. So impressed was my dad that he went to several dealerships the next day to look for a used 550 Maranello.
Jackpot! At $100k, the 550 he saw was a steal. Needless to say, I called my dad repeatedly begging him to take the Ferrari over the Benz, and my nagging finally paid off. He picked up the car today!
I'm going home tonight to check this thing out. I'll have a report here at S2ki.com asap, and hopefully some pics if I can get my digital camera to work. (Don't buy a Sony P-71!)

My dad says there were a few other Maranellos at FoH, including a yellow
, a few silvers and a dark blue.
The next cheapest 550 was the yellow at $125k, so maybe the $100k silver my dad got isn't that cheap? Iunno, I have nothing to base it off of... I just know that a $125 discount is hella lot.
Oh, my dad says the seats are kinda worn and there are some minor rock chips... I could put up with it.
