Default Anyone else having problems w/ the "Greg Straps" for the top?

Lately I've had to hand-assist the plastic window (push-in) everytime I lower it b/c it bows outward. It had worked fine initially but now it's a pain to have to get out of the car to lower the top.

Any advice or suggestions?

BTW, my window is clear and superbly maintained w/ Plexus. Top is in great condition w/ reinforcements added to the wear spots and my car is kept showroom clean.

Try modifry's straps. He sends you replcement elastic straps without having to rivet them in. These are much wider than the original straps. I have both Greg Cherry's straps and modifry's.

So does Modifry's require exiting the car to push in the window too or can I just pressed a button sitting there?

Just as an FYI, since it looks like most of you are out of warranty, but I had mine replaced under warranty. Aparently there is a service bulliten.

Not trying to take business away, just letting you know.

I would trust Modifry's stuff. He usually has very good ideas to fix or "modifry" things.

Hi!
first let me way that I have Greg's staps, and they are working fine with me, so far. However, I do more than just Plexus to keep the window soft. I first apply 303, which really softens and gives SP 40 UV protection. It's label says it is for plastic windows (along with all the other plastic surfaces in your car), but it will leave a few smears unless the window is then cleaned with Plexus. Results in a very pliable window.

Second, where can I I find Modifrys? I'd like to see what they have too.

Thanks,
Richard

Yeah, I've done both the 303 and Plexus route. I think my window may be too old and less pliable. But it's strange that they worked a few times when I first got them. Maybe it was on sunny days when the plastic was softer.

Let me know if you can locate Modifry. I'm looking for him too. Thanks

I was one of the first ones to order them a while ago. I was excited that they would work but from the getgo it didn't do anything. It was usless so I got it returned.
