Pictures of my baby with a disassembled interior
Thought you'd be interested of these pictures of my car with the seats and carpets removed for installation of the new sound system. I also took some shots of the trunk with the rear panels and spare tire removed.
First, let's start with the driver's side. The red carpet is being removed and replaced with black, and this also gives the installer (Dave at the Audio Connection in Towson, Maryland) a chance to route all the wire under the carpet and properly tape it all down. By the way, Dave loves the car and is treating it with TLC.
Now, two views of the passenger side. Note the humps.
Here's several shots of the trunk. First a long view with both rear panels and the spare tire removed. I'm eliminating the spare tire altogether to make room for an amp, 12-disc changer, and rack for the CD magazine. Dave is building a new rear panel to flush mount all this stuff. In the end, I'll have more trunk space. Dave is also installing the subwoofer (mounts in the trunk well) with quick disconnects so that it can be easily removed if extra trunk space is needed for a long trip.
Now a close up of the spare tire well. Plenty of room in there without the spare tire. Thank god for Triple A!
Here's the engine bay with the RM filter and Comptech strut bar.
I've also had the roof liner (from MG Racing, a site sponsor) installed. What a difference in makes in the appearance of the roof interior! It's a great addition that I strongly recommend. Here's a photo.
In addition to the sound system upgrade, Dave is wiring a roof motor cut off switch into the windscreen mechanism, so that when my new large windscreen is down, the roof cannot be raised or lowered.
I should get the car back on Tuesday. With the 2nd run of head rest prototypes coming in and various other cosmetic things being done this week (calipers painted red, new red Honda badges, console cover, shift boot and new windscreen installed, etc), the car should be completely set up by Wednesday or so. As soon as it is, and weather permitting, I'll take and post pictures.
Then, at last, I'll be able to do some serious driving.

You want disassembled interior and engine... I need to post some pictures of my entire interior removed including dashboard and seats... and my engine missing both intake + exhaust manifolds, alternator, air filter box...
I figured while it was winter I would finish stereo and engine upgrades...
Needless to say, I have come to really know my car...

Baby! you're not wasting any time on this one. To heck with slowly modifying the car to your personal needs. This is the full-bore hard-core treatment. What the heck are you going to do for an encore? Can you say....supercharger!
Thanks for sharing. Seeing folks going for broke only further stimulates ones brain. What would look good next on my car.....hmmm

Rick,
Great photos! You certainly don't mind paying attention to details.
Just curious about your interior roof liner; how well does the top fold down now that its doubled in thickness?

Song,
It's amazing what six month's wait for the car can do with a idle mind
.
somethingwicked,
I've not yet operated the roof with the inner liner attached, but based on other reports I've seen, it works just fine. I'll report back myself once I get the car back.

somethingwicked - drop me another email if you want to see the top liner installed on my car. Like Rick H. mentioned, it does not interfere with the top folding down nicely. The top cover even fits fine.

Thanks for your post!
