I did something i dont think anyone has done with the rear speakers, THey are cut in to the place where the soft top folds. It actually is a lot less muffled then putting them behind the seats. They are extremely loud with the top up also. I have a junk amp on them now and am waiting for my new one, but they sound awesome. I just only have a 2 channel on all 4, and i need more programability. The 5.25's i put in the rear dont need as much power, so they are overpowering the fronts that are power hogs. Anyway, here is what i have, and ill be posting pics of the finished product as soon as it stops raining out.

Alpine 9813 60wattx4... but dont use that. Awesome EQ and crossover built in.

Momo mm6 front door components, Amazing highs and good Bass

I went with these for the rear, i was planning on doing S pods, but changed my mind. Amazing sound, bring sounds, not as much bass though

THis is the 4 channel im about to get.

Im then using my 2channel to run the sub. Im between these 2, just getting 1 10''

Price MSRP, i get good prices though

399 for Alpine 9813
349 for MM6
179 for MMC525
569 for Momo Amp
249 or 149 depending on which momo sub.

Damn man.... I think MOMO is actually one of the best. They have bigger magnets then anything of their size. I think they are better then the Infinity perfects in sound quality. I've heard both. I suppose it is all to personal taste. The red tweeters also match my leather perfect. I like staying everything the same brand just becuase. YOu never mix and match speakers, and i like their amp and subs a lot too. The only other amp i would get is a MTX 684. The only subs i would consider is the MTX and Audiobahn. I would only get these becasue these are what i hear all the time and like.

THanks for the input tho....

Polk Components are perfect in SQ and bass
THe coaxials are one of the best coaxials made for the money, IMO. THey also come with a crossover for seperate tweeter and woofer control.

And i didnt just go Polk... i went MOMO. Momo is the highest end polk, you cant compare it with regular polk speakers. But IMO the polk db series even outperforms stuff in its cheaper range.

Im struggling right nwo because my rears are too loud. THe only take 70RMS and my fronts need 100RMS. So the rears are screaming at a lower level then teh fronts and i cant turn the frotns up loud enough to get much. I cant wait till i have my 4channel.

THe ones in the rear are extremly loud with the top up, and they are decent with the top down because they arent completly covered by the top. Both ways, they are less muffled then having the back of the seat right up against them.

That's an innovative approach to your rears. Keep us posted on how that works out in the long run.

Nice looking system, clean install.

First of all, nice stuff.....Polk, while not the "premier" car audio maker, is not bad by any means. They do make quality products. Next, amazing job on the rears, I can see that works 100000000 times better than behind the seats. How does it sound with the top DOWN tho??

Always loved the way momo stuff looks...love the rims style grills.

And another thing, MTX is So dont say that again.

lol.. thanks man. The rears sound better with the top down then they did behind the seat. I can hear a huge difference between top up and down, but it is still nice when the top is down. Havnt tried it with the cover over the back though. It is worth it though for the sound while the top is up. They are mounted as close to the front as possible, so about half of it avoids the top and the tweeter still shoots out a little.
