When I checked my sparkplugs...
When I replaced my stock plugs with Densos, the stock plugs seemed to be torqued well--they weren't easy to break loose, although I didn't actually check the torque.
You bet I used a torque wrench and tightened the Densos down to spec.

I would have tested mine, but it had fallen completely out!

Seriously, interesting poll...as I said before, I can't explain for certain what happened during that whole mess, but I 100% believe that it all started with the spark plug. I'll be posting pics later on today...
BTW, I should be picking up my car this weekend.

FWIW, I was at the dealer yesterday, and asked him to verify the spark plugs. He said "whatfor?". He basically told me he has never seen a loose spark plug in his professional life except as the result of amateur tampering... and certainly not in an S2000.
When I asked him about Hugo (a fellow member) that had a case of the "loosies"
, he said that someone had been playing around with the plugs.
Don't know what Hugo thinks about this, but the fact that he has a Spoon carbon head cover might have something to do with it. (Hey, hugo, did you or did you not touch the plugs?
).

I changed to the Denso Irridiums about two months ago and the stock plugs were all torqued to spec. I noticed that the manual recommends "anti-seize" compound on the plug threads and I wonder if the factory uses this stuff and whether it might be responsible for some plugs coming loose.
