Default I've got a soggy bottom ....

.... the bottom of my boot that is!

Just giving my car a spring clean and while hovering the boot decided to do a thorough job and lifted out the jack/tools moulded polystyrene thingy, had quite a surprise to find the carpet underneath all wet!?!

Is this likely to be just the boot seal or is there anything else I need to check?

Also, while we are in the boot, I have two webbed straps attached in loops to the rear wall of the boot well just above the cover for the jack/tools, is this standard fit? They look a bit like straps for holding a base tube to me!

The straps are a standard fit.

I find them really useful for stopping my Halfords tyre pump from rattling around the boot.

I'll have to check my bottom now - you've got me worried as I was sloshing tons of water round the car today

I feel we need photograhic evidence plus statements from independent witnesses to confirm Jenny's assertion.

Anyone disagree?

Would Jenny be happy to have her bottom checked out by a team of suitably trained experts at SM3?

Do a search. A few cars have had problems with the vent seals, causing water to get into the boot.

The straps are to hold a wheel/tire in the well - there's an obscure tome that details this called the owners manual...
