Default Rear End?????????????????????????

i have a 2001 honda s2000, and so far ive had to do trans work @3000 miles (5th and 6th gear synchros), replace the clutch @ 7500, and now the rear end has gone @ 8502 miles. Honda refused to fix the clutch due to "driver abuse" and now they are refusing to fix the rear end also from "driver abuse". My question is has anyone else had problems with any of these parts, and secondly does anyone know of a good aftermarket place to get rear-end. and Thirdly does anyone know of a good number to get a hold of some one important @Honda. Thank you for your help.

1. Yes... many of us have had problems with all of those parts. And also with Honda's "support" of them.

2. Nope. You can get an aftermarket differential (not the entire rear-end, just the differential itself) from Kaaz, Cusco, Mugen, ATS, etc... and Comptech sells a couple little pieces they say strengthen the rear end... but having seen the pictures, I have my doubts that it will really work.

3. President of Honda North America is Koichi Amemiya. I posted the address before, but I don't have it with me right now. Anyone else have that address handy?

ok

well my next question is did you get it fixed under warranty or did you have to pay for it, and did emailing the Honda guy do any good, cause personally i think its bullshit that they build a 36k sports car that doesnt have the mechanics to drive it remotely hard, but i am glad to hear im not the only one to ever have these problems. I mean the clutch is understandable BUT THE DIFF GEAR, thats alittle odd to me. but could provide a link to some of those sites the the diff gears on it? please and thank you for everything rev.

You can order the Spoon LSD seperate or already assembled into a complete differential assembly. It's assembled by a Spoon technician. The assembly of the differential is not easy, and a poor assembly could cause differential failure...from what I understand. This is why if Honda does warranty a differential they order the complete assembly from Japan (talking Honda now, not Spoon) instead of just the failed parts.

If you want a stronger differential look at Kaaz, http://www.kaazusa.com , will run you about $900 just or the gears. My assumption is that there is more that needs be replaced than just the gears.

Rev, it's just billet steel bearing caps. I posted this pic a while back.

These are the pieces (stock) that snapped in my differential assembly.

Damn

doesnt anyone else find this wrong that honda is refusing to fix these parts, the dealer flat out told me there have been no other problems with these parts in any other cars, i think its about time someone goes against honda, it wouild nothing to get a case going for BBS against them(better business beurau). I mean i thought it might be a age discrimination cause i am only 19 but i guess not, its seems honda just likes to make some parts halfass and doesnt see anything wrong with it. Thank you for all your help guys.

What needs to be done for a class action lawsuit.? I am not kidding this is utterly disgusting what honda is doing, im not just talking about the trans, i am talking about the whole car, I NEVER RECEIVED anything about any pf my parts being faulty, and i had the clutch buzz and the gear grinds and when my clutch went i just took it in the ass and bought a ACT. I am serious about this fella's contact whoever you know and get back to me about who would be in on it??? I know some good lawyers but let me know who you guys know. In the mean time someone is going to catch some hell at honda since i got those numbers
