Default Best Restaurant in Seattle?

Hello,

I'm looking for suggestions on a great restaurant here in Seattle. Got a really special occasion, and want to go to someplace nice.

The Pallisades in Magnolia was recommended by a co-worker. Any other suggestions?

Not looking for a particular cuisine, as long as the food is good Its special, so I'm splurging, price is not a concern.

Thanks for any advice!

Howzit brah?

There are so many good choices... Canlis is nice for a special occaision. I love Palisade as well. Last time me and the missus felt like splurging - we chose Palisade. It's not the *quietest* place in town so if an intimate discussion is in order - you might want to ask specifically for a quiet table...

The Space Needle is kind of fun for the novelty factor. The Metropolitan Grille has killer steak and lobster.

Good luck choosing!

Palisades is nice.

If you're looking for classy and less noisy. The georgian is a really upscale restaurant. Check them out.

I almost got kicked out of Daniels. We deserved it though - xmas party gone wild!!!

The Seattle location is far more cozy than the Bellevue location. It's right over the water on Lake Washington (and only 6 minutes from our house)

That would be a good choice for a special occaision.

Daniels or Palisade are my two favorites. The Metropolitan is pretty good, too.

McCormick and Schmicks down on First Ave. has always been good for me in the past.

I'm getting hungry. We chowed down on way too many Kumamotos @FXMcRorys last week. 1.45 a shot during happy hour - served up in a shot glass with tabasco and cocktail sauce. Yum!

Wild Ginger is nice... Roys has good looking food... McCormick and Schmicks is excellent for seafood... Szmania in Magnolia... way too many choices now!

I STILL haven't tried out the Szmania here in Kirkland, but it's supposed to be pretty good.

I'm also a huge fan of Ristorante Paradiso here in Kirkland. Not the most snazzy restaurant, but suitably romantic and the food is first rate.

Wow, thanks for all the responses!

Geez I dont know what to pick as well. Any of these places have a particularly good atmosphere to it? Or a good view?

I may just go to the Pallisades since its mentioned the most so far.
