Looks:

Real cool seat, and it looks awesome. Those red seat rails give it a very racy look. The black with what appears to be either light blue or gray is a good combo.

Fit:

I'm 5'7" 150lbs and I fit it perfectly. At first I was thinking to myself, "man this sho is tight". However, I'm certain this is the way racing seats are supposed to be. It keeps you in place, absolutely no sliding around. The bolsters of the seat help support your arms so you don't get tired from keeping them up. The back is very supportive. The hip area is just right, no play at all. I can only move my legs apart maybe a few inches.

Comfort:

Padding is firm, but at this point in time I don't know how it's going to be for long drives. We'll see. It felt good during the short test drive that I had tonight. The seatbelt may be abrasive to the neck, so I might need to get a pad for that. The lower the seat position the more it will rub on your neck, me thinks. Actually, at my current setting, it's not really that much of a problem. Getting in and out, isn't as easy with the oem seats. I'm sure I'll find a technique to get in and out as I use the seats more. It's nothing to be concerned about.

Seat adjustment:

There are 3 height positions. The highest is just little bit lower than stock height. If I wanted to, I can drop it maybe another 1.5 inches (guesstimate). The seat does not tilt, but it moves forward and back of course.

Weight:

Oem seats are 31 lbs
S1 is 23 lbs
weight savings of 8lbs.

I was expecting a savings of 11 lbs, since I figured the S1 seat with rails would be about 15 lbs. I read on this board the oem seat was 26 lbs. My numbers are somewhat different. The S1 seat is actually very light, but the rails are kind of heavy.

Installation:

Very easy. Any moron can do it, I'm living proof. 2 bolts secure each rail to the seat. It's side mounted btw. 2 bolts secure the rails to the floor. 1 bolt secures the buckle to the rails. 1 wire that ties the two rails together so that you can slide the seat back and forth. It's that simple. However, there is a wire from the buckle to the floor of your car to connect the seatbelt warning light. You will have to remove that from your oem seat. Also, for those of you with oem alarms, it's bolted under the driver's seat. Therefore you will have to relocate the alarm elsewhere. For now, it's mounted on the floor.

Feel:

I feel very connected with the car. There's more input from this seat than the oem seat. Turning this car in the seat is absolutely amazing.

S2R-

Actually, you can tilt the Mugen S1 seat slightly, forward or backward, depending on which holes on the Mugen brackets you decide to bolt the seat up to.
But in real life, you get used to the back tilt position pretty quick and don't bother adjusting the tilt of the seat...

S2R-

Actually, I don't even remember what they're set at.

All I know is- the positioning is fine- and I've fallen asleep for hours in the passenger seat on long trips.

I think the back bolts are set up on the lower position and the front ones are on the higher set holes.

If you're really, really curious I can take a look tomorrow- but I have this nagging feeling that it's really not worth the effort.

It's okay, not important.

Good review, S2R. I agree with you. The seatbelt does chafe my neck a little, but Nick (GTRPower) left these Sparco seat belt things in my 4Runner when we picked them up from the airport during One Lap (Remember those, Nick?!)...so thanks!

I use that and it's not a problem. I was taking the truck out here this morning, but I decided to stop off and pick up the S2000 instead. Got in that awesome seat and just grinned.

It really does connect you to the car. I have the rear bolts in the middle hole, btw.

My nose is just barely above the steering wheel...that should give you an idea of how low the seating position is. it's dramatically different...and amazing, man, I love that seat.

It's pricey, but it's made to some unbelieveable specs. Check out http://www.kingmotorsports.com/products/mu...00/interior.asp for detail on the construction of the seat. It's awesome...

Makes me do this ---->

Oh, make sure to route the seatbelt through the hole that the harness would go through. Unbolt the belt at the bottom, by the sill and run it through the seat. The bolt is a 14mm, use an wrench, a socket won't work there...

I don't recommend that setup.
Nope, it was worse before I ran it through there. I HIGHLY suggest it, but to each his own.
