Default Finished at last - 330bhp with a safety margin

Hi
With much help from Vortech, John Cooper Honda and Tuning Japanese the car is running well and getting 12.2:1 air:fuel at high rpm. It is also pulling well at low revs and at the start of the boost curve which was a previous problem. I am running a Mugen Pressure plate, Helix disc and a Mugen sump as well as all the Mugen cooling bits. The pictures tell the story:
Tim and Ike of Tuning Japanese in the roller bay (one of about 4-5 visits to set this up)

The engine bay (note position of FMU)

The final dyno chart from todays road and roller session

We are running the 12:1 FMU set-up rather than the 10:1 to get extra fuel which is needed at higher rpm. I am also using an APEX-i VAFC for fuel tuning only. This is running on Shell Optimax and special NGK Racing plugs on a cooler rating with recessed tips. These will need changing every 3-6,000 miles. It runs very well in this setting and keeps cool - also its great fun. Any people in UK or Europe who are looking at the Vortech kit then please join in this post with questions - I'll do my best to answer them.

See you soon

MACA

I'm no car buff, what does that mean in plain english, what does it do to performance, whats the risks, does it de-value the car and whats it cost you to do?

Personally i dont see the point of modifying an already brilliant motorcar
