Default Hitch for the S? Can it tow anything?

I went to Lake Conroe (Houston) this weekend and saw all those little jet skis shooting around and it sure looked like a hell of a lot of fun. I was thinking of buying one, then I remembered that I sold my truck for the S . Do you guys know if there is a hitch made for the S, and if it could even pull a jet ski? Thanks!

I think someone had a hitch, but personally I would not pull anything with mine. The car was not designed to tow anything.

I ordered a hitch and I'll be towing a jetski with it. Don't see anything wrong with it. People here say it can void your warranty and probably does. I say go for it, jetsking is extremely FUN!! do a search on "hitches and towing" and you'll find info on this matter and where to get a hitch. I've responded on a few threads on this subject.

Where did you find your hitch? Thanks for the advice, I'm about to start looking for possible problems with towing them...

Not for nothing, but if you have the cash for the ski then maybe you should pick up a little beater car and slap a U-haul hitch on that. That's what I did and I works great. Beaters come in handy when your dealing with a car a small as the S.
Food for thought.

I was thinking about doing so, but I can't afford all of the extra fees/insurance/etc. that go along with another car (maybe a bike but that would defeat the purpose). Maybe I should just throw a hitch on my dad's Jag??

Serveral S2000 owners have put a hitch on their car to haul track tires to events. Check out the FAQ for one such instance.

i wouldnt think the s would have really enough torque to tow that much....Im not trying to hate. Only thing I would tow with an S (this is not a pun) would be a bike on a small trailer....now that would be pimp

Trust me the S can tow a jetski, I had a Ford Escort with 127hp and it towed it just fine. The only thing I would be carefull of is (the light weight in the rear and it being a rear wheel drive car) launching the ski at the ramp, try not to put the rear wheels in the water if possible.

www.bageco.com is where I ordered the hitch and the wiring harness. it cost me $288.00. I still haven't received it yet so I'll keep you informed. I also got the directions to install on www.s2ki.com/faqs/trailerhitch.php
Not sure if that link is still there .
