Default S2000 Turbo Kit by Bulletproof/UPRD

I've been dying for it, you've all been dying for it, so its about time! A reliable, high HP, high response turbo kit built by a reputable manufacturer(s).

I've pooled together the two best resources I know in the automotive aftermarket, JUN and UPRD. With the knowledge of both companies, I'm pressing forward on the development of a complete turbo kit manufactured through UPRD for Bulletproof. UPRD as many of you already know, is a leader is high HP turbo applications and custom fabrication.

Its early on and I dont want to get into too many of the details, but here are few of the highlights:

immediate boost-we're talking in the ballpark of 50 hp increase at 3000rpm!

Completely pre-tuned stand alone engine management system included

tubular exhaust manifold out of 321 stainless steel

front mount intercooler with aluminum piping

all brand name components

smooth idling and reliable

upgraded fuel system

Heat shields included keeping under hood temps to a minimum

ACT clutch option at 30% off of list (highly recommended)

All HKS, Blitz, Greddy or Apex gauges and electronics at 20% off of list

Choice of HKS, Blitz, Apex or Greddy blow off valve

Price will be under $10,000 (keep in mind stand alone engine management systems cost beyond $2000 alone)

This is a no compromises kit that a car the caliber of the S2000 deserves.

__________________________________________________ ________________________
I'd like to gauge demand for the first run of kits (produced after break-in/test/dyno of the first prototype)
This production will begin in approximately 1-2 months.

Due to the high costs of producing this kit, all those who are interested in paying in advance will receive sizable discount and will be assured a place in the first run of kits.

Thanks,

Ben

Ben, sounds interesting, but before I would go any further I'd like to have my fears about the financial health of UPRD assuaged. Things have not been pretty over there of late and that would definitely bother me, especially if deposits were needed.

UL,

UPRD has had a change of ownership and moved into a smaller facility to keep overhead down. There are five owners of the company, and I'm confident that they'll be around for a while. The mechanic/fabricator in charge of this kit is JC, the original founder of UPRD.

As for your deposit, if we can not deliver, your money will gladly be refunded. However, I'm very confident in our ability to come through with this kit. So confident that I'm sacrificing my own car and every penny I can scrounge up.

Ben,

Sounds cool. Does the aftermarket engine management system use the existing Honda sensors and wiring harnesses or do these have to be removed and replaced with aftermarket parts? Is the stock ECU used in any way? If not, how will you preserve immobilizer, dashboard, illumination, etc. functionality? If so, how will you suppress all the engine management error codes that pop up when you decouple the stock ECU from the engine?

I would suppose if you disconnect the stock ECU then it wouldnt be able to light up those idiot lights anyway.

No really, it sounds good.

How about some drivetrain products? Of course after we find out what really needs to be beefed up.

Damn, that would be sweet... but 10 large?
Let's see... continue to save for the baby my in-laws and parents are pushing for my wife to have, or get a turbo for my other baby. Oh well, gotta have your priorities.
