Default S2000 stinks in the winter - not just snow!

First off, I don't hate this car. I love it! But I'm going a little crazy lately. Temperatures here in Massachusetts have been at freezing! I have noticed some changes in my car, and was wondering if anyone else has noticed them, or had any solutions for any of them:

1. Car seems to pull ocassionally (to either side) - Cold S02's?

2. Tranny feels extra notchy. It feels like you have to warm up each gear. Is there a different fluid to use?

It basically just seems like now that it's cold, I'm fighting with the car to drive it. Any opinions?

Warm it up before you drive and use the correct viscousity to adapt the weather change, other than which I can't think of anything else to add.

But on the positive, I feel the car is stronger (due to the colder denser air). No joke, it's noticeable!

Get used to it. The tranny takes about 5 minutes of gentle driving to warm up. The tires take a little longer and can be fairly slippery until then. Don't get caught out in even a dusting of snow.

Perhaps you should move to a more moderate climate.

There's been so many threads on this subject. If you're really concerned about the cold weather handling change the stock SO2's for something less performance orientated.

Your observation is actually quite valid The car benefits from the colder air. On hot days peformance will suffer slightly but noticeably.

With just those two items to complain about you think the S2000 stinks in the winter?
I drove mine the last two winters and will do so this year. No problems.
Time to move...

Cedric, you really don't experience 'hot' days do you? Here in Texas is is just warm until the temp climbs over 95F. We often have weeks where the low is 80F and the highs over 100F.. which is HOT.

BTW, over 100F the performance suffers more than slightly.
