my s2000's first snow!
well yesterday was the first time that i had encountered snow with the car! well...we had bout 4 inches and i tried to take it out to go to the store and the back end did not wanna stay in one place i even had a hard time gettin back into the driveway. so i said i will not be defeated and went and bout 5 60lb bags of sand to put in my car
it helped so much (also lowered the butt bout 2inches) but definalty helped hold the car down a bit. i still had a hard time driving i drove bout a mile then came home i didnt want to risk my life or the cars. all i know is that this car SUCKS in the snow! i was wondering how other s2000 owners dealt with the snow.

i put the bags of sand in the trunk, i was lucky and found really small bags, i couldve fit bout 2 more but it wouldve lowered the car to much. also there is such a noticable difference in the acceleraton much slower than usual, but whats one to expect with 300 extra lbs.

While I have yet to feel the effects of packed snow, I had to drive home from work one night only to find a rain/snow slushy mix. The car managed fine, but my take off was from a parking garage. I find that feathering the throttle lightly as I let out the clutch helps take offs in the snow. I must say that I was fairly nervous about driving a rear wheel drive in the snow, as I have only had my s2000 for 2 weeks! I have been used to a front wheel drive civic si for a couple of years....

The S2000 on stock SO2s is virtually undriveable in the lightest fall of snow. Mine stays in the garage on those days. To try to drive the car is asking for big trouble!! Many people drive the car in heavy snow by fitting snow tyres. Don't do it on SO2s!
i have my stock s02s and it wa sreally hard real wheel drive in the snow is very different! easier to do donuts though! lol they are fun when they are meant to be done not by surprise though!

Seriously, don't risk it. You obviously realized it was dangerous and returned home. The SO2s are virtually racing slicks!! Use a beater if you have one, if not get more suitable tyres. If you do a search you'll find loads of stories of people who've got caught out by snow whilst at work and had to abandon the car on the way home! It's public transport for me on those days.

I think it is extremely misleading to say that "this car sucks in the snow" when you were using the stock summer tires. ANY car will suck in the snow with summer tires.
Can someone who has driven their S2000 in the snow with winter tires post a review?

Yesterday was my first day on the snow with my s2k(unfortunately it cought me away from home) and i had the same problem....i couldnt even put it in the garage...and when i tried to back up to gain some speed while going in the garage i couldnt go anywhere. Anyways after about 30 minutes i finally got it in but i will defently follow you guys idea on the bags......Thanks Guys
P.S. Please dont go out on your s2k in the snow unless you really have to...I lost control of my car and spun out of control..luckly i was able to get out of the situation but only because there were no cars
