Default A Wind Screen Idea I would like to see!

I would love for someone to come up with a wind screen like this one...(I grabbed this shot while in traffic today)
It could just "wrap" over the roll bar with elastic straps......
What does everyone think?

Go to your local fabric store, then go into business!

I might be willing to give it a try.

Someone suggested/tried this about a month ago. I seem to recall there being a negative aspect to it (probably visibility).

I actually talked to Mingster about something like this, way back when he was designing his windscreen. He told me that there were problems with securing something like that on the S2K. You might want to talk to him. I know he was looking into it, but found a lot of problems.

I will try to get an e-mail off to him but it looks like it would be easy...
Hope somebaody can make something that might be better...
At high speeds I don't care what's behind me but you can see through the screen when you are in the car and it sure cuts the wind!

I like them and if it's fabric (mesh) I can't see it being impossible to make. Difficult maybe but not impossible.

I think the problem is keeping it on at speed. I know a MB owner and he has trouble keeping his on and it is designed for the MB.

I am going to have to ride with somebody with a windscreen sometime. I have no problem with the wind with the top down. In fact, passengers have commented on how quiet and windless the S2000 is with the top down. So I say why bother? Does it make that much difference?

I don't know how fast your drive, but a windscreen makes a HUGE difference. I didn't have a windscreen when I first bought the car and rolling up the windows wouldn't help at all. It was noisy and very windy when travelling at freeway speeds. Then, I bought a Minsgter aeroscreen, and it cut the wind and noise incredibly. It's one of the best mods that I have done to the car.
