Smile First my seats, Now my car

Not a big poster, but thought id share. About 2 months ago, they stole the seats to my S right in front of my house, mind you, i live in a nice gated neighborhood, i have a police car in front along with the 5 other cars in my drive way. So i drop off the car to the dealer for repairs. I ended up purchasing Bride seats and with the rails not being in stock, i had to wait a little more then a month.

I finally got my stuff in and took it all to the Rick case Honda dealer, where my car has been for over a month now. Service advisor takes all my shit and says well call you. He calls me next day and says to me "Hey, did you take your car?" im like, uuhhhhhhh NO. He says "ehh well the car is no where to be found." Im like "So in other words, i got my car stolen from the dealer?" He said yes. Called the police and filed the report. Up until now, they say its not there fault and they have no liability. My mom is calling everyone and there mother because were not settling for this one, we feel its there fault and want them to pay up. I suppose well see where this all goes. As far as a car, i will get another s2000, though i dont want the newer model. Its cool tho.

Now that would suck Sounds like they should check into their insurance policy and see if stolen vehicles are covered

So the car was with them when it got stolen, but it's not their fault?

Rick Case Honda, you say?

Perhaps they should be added to the Black Balled Dealers list...

yeah, def an inside job. same thing happened to my friends hooked up WRX. dropped it off at the dealer to have some more work done to it, and someone ripped it apart in the middle of the night. dealership covered EVERYTHING though...and everything was aftermarket (hood, stereo, gauges, gauge cluster, steering wheel, intercooler/piping etc etc). the dealership is def. liable for anything that happens to your car while it's there. i call on the dealership

Agree it's probably an inside job. The thiefs know that no one gets hurt except the Dealership. They get the car or parts from you, You get a new car or parts with no liability.

Dealer gets screwed. Gives new meaning to the term "Stealership"

Good luck with your new car...

Inside job i highly agree with. And they do have alot of young guys working there. The main thing that makes me think so is the service advisor saw the car the day before all my parts were getting installed. The timing was too odd for it to be anyone from just outside. As far as them not being liable, when i gave them the car i signed a paper saying i was giving them the car, and keys, and why it was going over there. On that paper i think it might say that if any theft happens, there not taking fault, but im not positive. Even still they can go somewhere else. And for the record, the parked the car outside, not in a garage, not in the service department, just outside in the open. Regardless of all, i think they should ATLEAST cover anything we might not break even on. And i intend to buy a new car from them, the least the can do is hook me up. theives and a dealer who has a billion dollars who dosent wanna pay 35 grand.

Not to sound like an a$$ but they probably needed a car to go with the seats they stole.

If the dealership is not taking any responsibility for losing your car, I'd seriously think about NOT buying a new car from them.
