Default Buddy Club question

Hey everyone...for those who don't know me I'm Tim from the Ohio forum...for those who do know me and of course for Nemish ........I know many of you run the Buddy Club Coilovers and I had a question on the install. I am about to put mine in this weekend and was just a little caught off gaurd when someone told me this (and I'm hoping he just doesn't know what he is talking about since he doesn't have BC's)

qoute: "and you have to saw off a nut and weld on a new one"

can anyone here chime in...anything special that I should know in advance for the install so that i'm ready. Thanks in advance

regards,
tim

Most of the guys here wont know what youre talking about. But I do.

Yes, the nut and bolt do not match. Check to see if that bolt fits; mine do not.

Easy fix Im told. I think finding a bolt that does fit could be easier, but surely others have tried. I wasnt aware that one had to be welded on though.

Probably talking about the weld nut on the lower control arm that the damper attaches to. The buddy club bolt does not match the weld nut therefore you have to cut off the weld nut and use the supplied nut and bolt with the kit....

Am i correct?

There are two versions. Ive got a US version that requires nut cutting. Most of the guys in the US who track BCs have had to cut the nuts also. Its no biggie. Theyve been surprised to learn that there is another version that doesnt require it.

Yes, it is the nut at the bottom of that photo.
