First track day ever
so i'm finally going to the track on tuesday and this will mark the first time i have ever gone on to a track ever. Since this is my first time there i really don't know what to expect and was wondering if anybody can give me some tips or pointers that could potentially help me. I"m really really excited but i don't want to do anything dumb lol, so is there anything i should bring or check before i get there thanks!!
Remember to drink a lot, eat enough, and recognize if/when you are done for the day (even if you have more track time left). You will be surprised at how mentally and physically demanding it can be.
Make sure that you have fresh brake fluid (high temperature is ideal)and more than 80% on the brake pads.
Otherwise, go out and have fun. Believe it or not, you will not set the track record on your first outing, but you will really learn a lot. One thing that helped me, if the club allows it, is to have the instructor drive your car. He/she might enjoy it and you'll see how much more potential there is.

I always check wheel torque right before I go back out on track too. Don't do it right after you get off and they're hot.
Lugs coming loose on the track isn't that uncommon. A Scion had to be towed out of the last redline time attack because the wheel nuts came loose which then snapped the studs. I've had them come loose on the drive home after a track day.
Bring extra Oil and check before the beginning of each session.
I typically bring a spare set of front pads and the tools replace them.

That's a good list, and here is a more comprehensive treatment of the topic. Some of the information is club-specific, but there's a lot of good general information as well.
