Anyone used a Hamp Oil Filter? I was told it was the best Oil Filter you can get for Honda. So I looked for them but I could not find it for F series engines. But I have seen a pic of a S2K with one.

I use one, as do many others on the board. You can get them here: HAMP GB. Or I can sell you one of mine.

Just be aware that my box of small Hamp filters would bottom out before they felt tight enough. It wasn't just my car either. Others on this board have had no problems however.

I will also confirm what UBetit has said is correct. The filter feels like it bottoms out before it's tight enough, but I have not had any leaking issues or having the filter back out by itself. BTW I've used 3 so far.

I'd like to revive this thread, as I just twisted a Hamp filter on yesterday. The filters are TINY. Makes the install easy, but I mean, damn, these things are about the size of a medium size bottle of Tylenol. Can someone reassure me that the HAMP filters provide enough filtration?

Unlike the stock one that would spin 3/4 around after it seated, the Hamp MAYBE turned 1/2 a turn. Is this normal?

Appearance wise, it should be the exact same size as the Honda 15400-PCX-004 filter. In fact, there has been a claim that the hamp and Honda PCX filter are the same.
No, the HAMP filter for our cars is smaller in diameter than the PCX...unless speeeding has been selling us the wrong filters HERE.

Please note that I'm not making a claim that speeding is selling the wrong filters.

What I am bringing to people's attention (which has been done in a couple of previous threads on this forum) is that the HAMP filter in the link I provided above appears to be of the exact same configuration as the Honda PCX filter. If this is the case, wouldn't this be the proper HAMP filter to be used on our S2000?

Hamp no longer makes the larger filter (M1540). Only the small ones are available (H1540).
