Default 2004 DRL bulb options

The bulbs on my 2004 are a bland yellow colour and I want something similar to the headlight "blue". Any thoughts?

Hi Dog Biscuit, I recommend using Phillips Blue Vision. I had the phillips bulbs in my old RSX for over 2 years and I did not have any problems with them burning out. The Blue Vison were a lot brighter than the stock bulbs and I think they are rated at 4000k, which is more white than blue. There are a lot of bulbs on the market that emit a bright blue light but they tend to blow out after a couple of months and are illegal. I remember buying 2 bulbs (I actually got 3... buy 2 get 1 free ) online for about $50.00cnd (tax and shipping in).

Hope that helps!

Marc, I put these in my DRLs:

They are much brighter and are a bright white, with a slight bluish tinge. Since they are used mostly as DRL's and are run at a diminished power level, they won't be too bright. The only time they are used at full power is when you use the high-beam.
You should check with BoomPlusToys or AJ Racing in Vancouver for these. You shouldn't need to go online to the States for them. They were about 50 bucks.

Just for my curiosity:

On MY00-03 and MY04, do the DRLs switch off when you pull the handbrake on?

Thanks for the (slightly off topic) info.

Nope. Once you lowered the handbrake it stays on until you turn off the car.

But if the handbrake is on prior to starting the car, the DRL will not turn on.
