Default Megan racing dyno

Disclaimer: I am not posting this as a definitive test, rather my experiences so others have more information before they make a purchase.

So, I installed my Megan header a week or so ago. It just so happened that my local shop was having a dyno day this Sunday. I figured for the low price, it would be worth it to find out what I just spent $350 for(I also wanted to check my butt dyno calibration ). To give everyone some background on my mods: ctsc w/ac 7lbs pulley, t1r test pipe, HKS hp, and now the Megan header.

I really believe that the Megan is just a really nice copy of our factory header. Fit and finish was very nice, more so than I expected for the price. Some pictures for reference:

My dyno before the header was 323.7rwhp at 8900rpm. Peak torque was 191.7 at 8205rpm. The temp was reading 70` F. Boost at the MAP was reading 5.71lbs

With the Megan I dyno

So in your opinion it would of been the same hp huh?? So it seems to me that its just a weight saver with no heat shield? Thanks for the dyno!

you could have purchased a lightweight battery for about 80 bucks and saved the 14lbs.

I can't believe they copied the -stock- shape.

But hey its polished

I agree SK... The thing is, it looks just like stock(a little smoother imo) with less boost and hotter weather. I really just think its a nice copy of the factory with bigger primaries.

Thank you whole-heartedly for the test, but it is completely inconclusive. Way too many variables and a varying FI setup is not a great unit to test this on.

The design looking extremely similar to stock does say wonders to its limits and expectations.

20 degreee difference and .7 pounds of boost less is far from a conclusive test. We really need one of the N/a guys to test this thing. Thanks for trying anyways.
