If you're feeling up to some sweat equity, do the install yourself. I'm sure a few of the locals would be happy to lend a hand and/or tools to the cause.

I'm sure a variety of places could do the install if you would rather farm it out. Two likely candidates you'll probably hear about are Speedware Motorsports in Redmond or Fordahl Motorsports in Bellevue.

Omni Alignment in Kirkland seems to get good reviews for alignment work and is probably where I'll go after I install the new springs I'm picking up this weekend for my Miata.

Installing springs can be a pain if you run into some stubborn bolts. We did my friends MR2 last week and ended up breaking a socket on a bolt while using a breaker bar. That was one stubborn bolt, but luckily a friend brought over some air tools and then things went by fast and easy. We didn't even end up needing the spring compressors. If you DIY it shouldn't be too bad if you have someone to assist you. The job doesn't require really special tools or you can always rent spring compressors if you need them its like $6 or something at schucks.

I'd rather not do it myself. John has contacted me and that route sounds good. Now I have to decide which springs to get.

Thanks for the recomendations Brant. I had Fordahl lower/align my Boxster and have had Omni align my TT after lowering it at Achtuning. So I am familiar with those places. Speedware always seemed pricey.

Thanks all for your recommendations guys.

Actually, speedware is the cheapest place for alignment for a lowered car $89. They weight balance my car 50/50 but is more expensive than other shop in weight balance ($100).

Thanks John. I remember Omni being over $100. I'll keep Speedware in mind for the alignment.

Obligatory "Don't go to Speedware" post.

Having said that, yeah, they're cheap and fast for alignments, but I wouldn't go there on principle, even if they'd take me.
